The Brief
Neon Nature is a collaborative creative animation template project that sets out to capture whimsical characters in colorful environments. It aims to teach viewers complex topics in a clear and engaging way, making learning both fun and accessible. With vivid visuals and imaginative storytelling, Neon Nature is filled with imaginative characters and colourful enviroments.
Character Design
As a core contributor to this project, I was responsible for designing and rigging four foundational characters that established the visual and technical template. Building on this framework, I went on to design and rig additional characters, which continue to be featured across a variety of animations.
Environment Design
The environments in Neon Nature draw inspiration from fantastical forest elements, incorporating features such as mushrooms and creeping vines. These components are presented in a vibrant yet carefully curated color palette. To maintain visual clarity and avoid overwhelming the viewer, vivid foreground elements are contrasted against background elements rendered in a variety of purple values. This approach also allows for seamless integration of future design additions.
